We would like to have this in X-Plane too...

ProATC X

Just imagine how different and immersive it would be....

Didn't buy it, because it's for FSX, and I am really trying hard not to invest to much on that platform - I am served and satisfied with what I already have (only really spent money on FSX Gold from GFWL and RealAir Duke, the rest was waiting to be re-downloaded :-), and changed to X-Plane10 in the hope that it will get a lot better than it already is..., but this and other add-ons mark the difference between the two platforms... Of course we're talking apples vs oranges in terms of code stability. For FSX it stopped 6 years ago, while we're still getting updates for X-Plane10, and it will take it's while until it get's stable...

Then, I finally became aware of that Gizmo vs Sasl controversy (?)... Well, I used to move the Gizmo folder when flying the Carenados or the IL-14, and back to start the dc-3... Not complex at all.... But are Gizmo or Sasl capable of interacting with the core of X-Plane to provide a sattelite ATC robot like this one to work?

And AI traffic... I know a promissing product is in the works right now... let's wait and see...

Santa will put (at least) two things on Austing shoe... I asked him... The torque bug fix, and the ground friction (I strongly hope that's the real problem behind it...) fix... Maybe even a daylight according to date/time/latitude fix...? Santa as all FSX add-ons, but he bought X-Plane10 too ;-)

I don't even know if the bridge between such a program and the present structure of X-Plane10 would allow for such interaction.

Of course one can go online and use VATSIM or the like, but, the few experiences I had with it weren't that great....

Yes, it would be nice to have something like that for X-plane. I personally, don't use the ATC in XP or FSX, because the both don't work well in that respect. XP's ATC is even worse than FSX. I also find ATC the most uninteresting part of flying, but of course very important. I can see where someone wanting to use a sim for real life training would be disappointed on how its been done so far in either sim. The best product I ever purchased for ATC so far is Radar contact 4 for FSX. its IFR flights only, but did a pretty decent job within the confines of a computer simulation. I would love to see something like that for X-plane10. Rob

I wonder how hard it would be to convince the developer to adapt it for X-Plane?

I bought ProATC recently and there's currently no FSX AI interaction so in theory it could be possible, as only the aircraft's position/altitude would be used and the checklist functions could be dumped. Might be worth touching base with him.

This would be a popular addon for XPX. I'd get it for sure. Can you imagine ProATC XPX and the Ixeg 737, or the T7?
