FSX GPU issues?

Featured Replies

Hi All,

I am having this problem with my FSX and GPU. In my FSX and FSX.CFG it is showing that its using Intel integrated Graphics how ever i am still gettingaround 18 to 20 FPS in the NGX VC with FSDREAMTEAM Klas and AI traffic.so I don't know what the issue is. But in the Nvidia control panel it is showing it is using the high performance Nvidia GPU. I have tried rebooting rewriting my FSX.CFG and doing a system restore to no avail so i was wondering if you guy's had any idea. .My GpU is an Nvidia GT 610M. and it is a laptop.

Thanks for your help.

18-20 fps on a laptop with addon scenery and the ngx is pretty good going.

If you want the performance, it has to be on a desktop

Don't get too wrapped up in fps, I run on 15 fps or less on the ground at UK2000 EGCC last time I checked. Best advice I ever got was to tune for the best possible scenery with smooth running. You would be really surprised how low your frame rate can go without any noticeable difference. Unless you are getting constant stutters don't worry. In the end you just have to decide what you want to do - spend all day desperately modifying your .cfg to get 2 more fps, or fly your ngx over beautiful scenery because a number doesn't dictate how much you enjoy your hobby.
