December 2, 201213 yr Commercial Member Does anyone know if there is a fix to prevent the Saitek Cyborg X from dropping out of FSX? It still works for the programmed buttons I set in Profiler but the throttle axis and propeller axis stop working after awhile. A Switch to window mode seems to fix them. I have the latest Windows 7/8 64 Saitek drivers installed. Cheers jja Jim Allen[email protected]SkyPilot Software home of FSXAssist / P3DAssist
December 3, 201213 yr Are you using windows 8? There's some kind of bug in W8 that causes FSX or P3D to forget it has a joystick. It's not just Saitek.
December 3, 201213 yr Author Commercial Member LOL Yes Win 8. Thanks jja Jim Allen[email protected]SkyPilot Software home of FSXAssist / P3DAssist
December 3, 201213 yr Yup same issue here... Also had it happen tonight with CH force feedback 2. I am running Win 8 64bit. Have to say it runs FSX better than windows 7 "for me". If we get the joystick issue fixed I will be very happy with FSX. I have not run into those bloody OOM yet with WIN 8. 5Take Care, Will Clark My computer: Intel 14900K, Motherboard ROR Maximus Z790 Formula, PSU Dark Power 1600, Ram DDR5 (7200) Vengeance 32GB CL38, ASUS 4090, Keyboard Logitech ASUS, Mouse ROCCAT LEADR Wireless, Corsair M.2 SSD 4TB x2, Headset Astro A50 Wireless, Microphone Elgato Wave 3, Stream Deck Elgato XL, GoXLR, Loopdeck Live, Chair Steelcase Gesture with Headrest, Case: Lian Li O11 Dynamic XL ROG White, Custom Built water cooling, Ek Lian li xl distro plate, Fittings EK & Bitspower, Monitor LG C1 48 OLED, Desk Speakers Audio Engine A5+ White.
December 3, 201213 yr Is it plugged into a USB 3.0 port by any chance? I've had trouble with some of my Saitek hardware using 3.0, but 2.0 works great. - Aaron

December 3, 201213 yr Doesn't FSX access all joysticks/controllers via DirectInput? I would think the problem lies somewhere in there. scott s. .
December 3, 201213 yr Author Commercial Member I uninstalled EZDOK and installed the awesome OPUS FSX software which seems to have fixed the problem. Cheers jja Jim Allen[email protected]SkyPilot Software home of FSXAssist / P3DAssist
