December 4, 201213 yr For the first time in a long time there are no incomming projects listed at Carenado other than converting older models to X-Plane and P3D. There were rumors a while back that Carenado would eventually be eliminated as resources were folded into Alabeo. But it was just that, rumor. Anyone have any insight into Carenado's future?
December 4, 201213 yr holidays are coming, everyone including companies are preparing to shutdown for xmas. I highly doubt that they're in financial trouble with all the awesome payware released from them so far in 2012.
December 4, 201213 yr I see a Cirrus SR22 and TBM850 showing as incoming for FSX... Not sure why you are seeing something different...
December 5, 201213 yr The Cirrus had fairly recent updates to it's images but the Socata has been the same since May. That's odd since they finished at least two major jobs that would seem to free available staff for other projects. Shutting down for Christmas beginning Dec 4th? Are they hiring? I'd love to work for any group that shuts down for Christmas in the first week of December. Where can I get an application? Tell you what - I'll ask them about shutting down and ask for a job. And I'll share any reply they provide. I don't expect them to tell me what's up - but at least they will know of our concerns. Mark
December 6, 201213 yr They replied to my Carenado support query and said they will be updating the TBM and Cirrus Incoming Project pages but we should refer to their Facebook and Twitter pages for the most recent news. Mark N.
December 6, 201213 yr Commercial Member I very much doubt they are shutting down! I wouldnt use the lack of updates on a website as an indicator of what is going on behind the scenes. They might be too busy developing their aircraft right now to have time to update the pages DeanManager - PC Aviator AustraliaRetailing Sim DVD Software, Downloads, Hardware and Accessories
December 6, 201213 yr I doubt they're shutting down. They had a very busy year this year. I will say that they used to be one of my favorite companies but I no longer buy their aircraft due to quality issues. I still love their graphics but the their level of bugs/incompleteness has put me off. Also, Bernt told me he is no longer doing their FDEs...he's back onto Milviz and I'm waiting for their King Air.
