Cold weather Procedure

Featured Replies

I have set "cold weather procedure (y)" in the briefing panel.

After the engines started, the FO is doing his after start flow, the FS2Crew panel is in "set to flaps" mode. I speak "leave the flaps up" but nothing happens. I need to manually forward the mode panel to "before taxi". Anyone has the same issue ?

Hi Stephane,

I don't think you're using the exact correct phrase.

From the manual:

SPEECH COMMAND NOTES FOR COLD WEATHER PROCEDURES:

1. Where you would usually call for the takeoff flaps prior to calling for the ‘Before Taxi Checklist’, speak “LEAVE THE FLAPS UP FOR TAXI”. This will trigger the FO to start his 'Before Taxi flow', but he’ll leave the flaps up for the taxi (after doing a flap movement check).

2. You will need to call for the Takeoff Flaps right before calling for the ‘Before Takeoff’ Checklist’ by speaking “FLAPS 1”, “FLAPS 5”, etc. Wait for the FO to confirm that the flaps have been set for takeoff before asking for the Before Takeoff Checklist.

Ok. Seems I forgot "for taxi". Will try on a flight soon. Thanks.

The original manual only had the entry LEAVE THE FLAPS UP"

Caught me out that one, so I refer to the online manual
