RXP 430

Featured Replies

I am curious to know if anybody has managed to modify the 185F with the Reality-XP GNS430. This question has been asked here http://forum.avsim.net/topic/376346-rxp-430/ but due to the age of the thread I am unable to bump it.

I have yet to find any conclusive evidence to suggest this being possible or not.

Any takers?

Hi Cameron

Not 100% sure... and here is why... If you are skilled with VC's you might be able to pull it off. I have to say I am very skilled with 2D and every Carenado I have touched to fit my 2D home cockpit has had major issues. Seriously....

Carenado has been nice but not overly forthcoming. Brian may be be able to advise but I can tell you from recent experience... with any Carenado plane.. Good luck... :vava:

The VC only stuff is not the issue as I have found. It is gauges that MUST be present for the AC to even work. But no one is sharing that info..

I use their 530 in mine. Do you mean mounting it in the panel?

Preferably yes.

Do you have FSPS? Panel Studio?

No, but I could get them.

If it can be done at all, you can do it, just using Notepad.

Question is, is there room in the panel... I've uninstalled my 185 ages ago,

so cannot really help... Can you show a screenshot with the location where

you expect the 430 to go? In the real world, the 185 would likely come with a handheld

GPS, not a panel mounted one.. so adding the 430 as a popup may be the best solution.

Found the 185 in my backup hangar... you can do something like:

//--------------------------------------------------------

[Vcockpit02]

Background_color=0,0,0

size_mm=512,512

visible=0

pixel_size=1024,1024

texture=$Panel_C185_2

gauge00=C1855!Clock, 278,11,110,109

gauge01=C1855!Radio, 9,196,256,87

//gauge02=C1855!Radio2, 8,9,262,107

Bert, that's exactly what I was looking for. Thank you sir! Will test later and let you know how it went.

Tested and working beautifully. Thank you all for your help.

In the 185, I made it as a pop up, however, just as an experiment, I panel mounted it in my C206 (along with a pop up). The 530 is a little large, vertically for that panel, due to the way Carenado modeled it. In mine, there is a dark line across the bottom of it but I still prefer it to the 430. Having said that, the 430 would fit perfectly.

If you'd like, I can post the cfg panel file mod I made.
