December 18, 201213 yr Hi When choosing the departure for an active flightplan, how does one choose only the runway and no sid or transition if they are available on the depart page. Example: My fplan LGKR to LMML Departure: Runway 35 turn Right direct KRK thence.. If I choose rwy35 on depart page then press Enter button the FMC curser highlights one of the available sids. At this point there seems to be no way to exit the depart page without choosing a sid/transition. My question: How do I choose a runway and no sid and transition? Thankyou Paul Burley
December 18, 201213 yr How do I choose a runway and no sid and transition? Select another page? I'm not in front of my FSX PC so I can't help more than that at the moment. Kenny Lee"Keep climbing"
December 19, 201213 yr Author I tried that and I do not think it worked correctly. On the fplan page it should show: RW35 - LMML In this case it shows LGKR - LMML. The rwy is not entered into the flight plan. Paul Burley
December 19, 201213 yr I don't think you can. The only time you can just choose the runway is when no sids are available. You can try a workaround though. First select any SID's which ends at your first FP waypoint. Once confirmed, go back to DIRECT TO page and click on the waypoint you want to go to. Otherwise you can just leave it complete, fly using HDG on the AP (if you are vectored or VMC) then engage a DCT TO when available. Hope this helps Cheers Fede Federico Bellato
December 19, 201213 yr Author Ya, that seems to be the only way(direct to). Thanks everyone for your help. I was wondering how this works in the real J4100. I know it is not possible to duplicate everything in the sim. Paul Burley
December 19, 201213 yr Commercial Member Ya, that seems to be the only way(direct to). Look on the NAV page. You probably don't have a valid leg in there. On that page, you need to confirm the leg by hitting enter twice, if I'm remembering correctly. I've departed without a SID or runway in there and it's been fine. Kyle Rodgers
December 20, 201213 yr I think if I remember correctly there is a way to do this...stand by. EDIT: My method only works at airports without a departure procedure... Basically select rw, then press 'enter' three times. Patrick Houghton
