CTD issue

Featured Replies

I have uninstalled and re installed FSX plus acceleration multiple times over the last couple years and I eventually run into the same problem everytime. A CTD. There has to be a fix to this! I have windows 7 home premium 64 bit. I have multiple add ons. LDS 767, PMDG 747,737, airbus X, VRS superbug, carenado bonanza, real air turbine duke, ERJ v2 and then some sceneries: flytampa las vegas, chicago o hare, dallas fortworth, kennedy, tampa, and flight beam san francisco. I don't know if there are conflicts somehow but there has to be a way to fly without CTD's. I noticed after I installed REX essentials plus OD that it seems to cause a CTD and the screen goes black. I got these black screens before though. I can be flying for 2 hours and then all of a sudden black screen but sound plays or can just start up a flight and not even get off the ground. I have tried the ALT+Enter option so I don't have to use the mouse clicks which I heard have caused CTD's. Any suggestions. I know its a pretty broad problem but any help would be great. Should I just revert back to Windows vista and get rid of 7?

Have you tried applying some of the crash-prevention tweaks such as HIGHMEMFIX=1 and UIAutomationCore.dll? Please reference Word Not Allowed's Guide for specific instructions if you have not.

Whenever you have a CTD, you need to run this App - http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/app_crash_view.html - and let us know what caused the crash. You can copy/paste the error report into this post for analysis.

So I need to install the application and then after a CTD occurs run it or does it record it automatically?

Josh Scholl

Yes. It reads the error report Microsoft issues when you have a crash.
