December 21, 201213 yr Hi to everybody. Im a new member in forum and i would like your help. I recently install FSX in Win7 and i have problem with ILS sound. i cannot listen that "beep" when approchin ILS. I have search a lot in the net for solution but nothing. Its the only noise that i can't listen. I have check everything from setting in pc to settings in game but no solution. Please if someone can help me. Btw in my sister's pc with the same installation the sound exists.....
December 21, 201213 yr Author Turn on NAV1 in your ICS. Dave NAV is on and i'm landing normally with ILS but i cannot listen the sound that NAV produce. Also when i'm overspeed i don't have sound.
December 22, 201213 yr Moderator turn on the ident or the marker - depends on which plane. Vic RIG#1 - I9 14900K MSI Pro z790 RTX 5070Ti 40" 4K Monitor 3840x2160
December 22, 201213 yr Author Its only the sound from ILS and when I'm overspeed. In all planes. Default and addons. ATC is OK, engines Ok, enviroment Ok. Btw i have a creative sound blaster audigy SE 2 as sound card.
December 22, 201213 yr Moderator OK. let's go back over this - you don't hear the sound from the overspeed warning. The "ILS" sound - are you talking about the marker beacons - a series of regular beeps and usually you will see a blue or white light on the panel? Or are you talking about the morse code ident that will sound when you are within range of the navaid. RIG#1 - I9 14900K MSI Pro z790 RTX 5070Ti 40" 4K Monitor 3840x2160
December 22, 201213 yr I think guys, before we throw too much info at him, he need to tell us what Aircraft he is flying, and under what conditions is he hearing this noise, such as speed, radio tuned to what exactly, and where? Once we have some info thats useful other than "This beeping" then we could guide him in the right direction? Nice to see he has his sister into FSX too.. Richard... For now only default b737 and b747 bacause i install the game 4 days a go and i dont want to put addons until found solution with the problem.I don't listen the overspeed warning and the navaid you said, the morse code. Only these two sounds. All other sounds plays normal. The nav radio is normally tuned into ILS frequency. And as i said the same flight in my sisters pc work normal, with all sounds.
December 23, 201213 yr At the bottom of the radio stack there are a row of buttons, be sure Nav1 and MKR are active if you want to hear the morse code. As far as the overspeed, no clue why thats not working Jay
December 23, 201213 yr Moderator go into ALT OPTONS SETTINGS SOUND and be sure there is a check mark in the sound sliders and move them all up. You can move them back later if they are too loud. Now to be sure - go to your FSX folder - go to SIMOBJECTS - AIRPLANES - B737_800 - SOUND and look for a file called baover.wav - if it's NOT there, that's your problem. if it IS there - double click it to play it and you should hear a clicking sound. That would mean that the file is ok. RIG#1 - I9 14900K MSI Pro z790 RTX 5070Ti 40" 4K Monitor 3840x2160
