AOTD for 12/26 - Sacred Falls

Featured Replies

Here's a chance to verify the topics we currently have going on concerning the scenery in Flight.

We go back to Hawaii and hunt one of the treacherous waterfalls that have cost the community so many aircraft. Might be prudent to consider a hike.

Enjoy.

Thank you.

Well, that's how I got most of the waterfalls before. Of course, trying to remember where I left the Icon turned out to be the most difficult part...

It should be much easier now with the Cub. More power to climb out of those dreaded blind canyons, but we shall see.

I just had to go for this one straight away. I had a pretty good idea where it was, so I flew a straight line from Dillingham (approx. 50 degrees) and the mileage marker ticked down to ten, then five, and then two miles away. I then started a search pattern from the top down in the most likely looking canyons and after only two canyons, I saw the marker. That's when I wondered how difficult it would be to collect it.

No problem. It wasn't as close to the edge as I thought it might be. Power off, and a steep dive to get the cache. Then power on and pull out. Much fun.

After collecting the cache, I flew down the canyon toward the ocean thinking I would make my way back to Dillingham, but I saw this perfect landing spot and had to go for it.

No better place to park the CC.

I would rank this aerocache as one of the better ones.

Thank you.

So glad I didn't have to walk to get this one. But... the time in-sim was at sunset, as I didn't change to a brighter time. The shadowing on the Icon and landscape in General was very nice, but once I got to the north side and turned it really made things difficult around the landscape. I went up and around the aerocache, figuring I'd drop down to get it but I couldn't see what I was heading into. I figured if I spalletered myself it was OK, as I would have gotten the AotD, but then I looked up and said "Open Space!". I then proceeded to the MCAS and had chow with the troops!

its GLITCH! I do not see this, in my radar show 0.2nm but i dont see this. I see the screenshot. How get it? I restart game but do not see in this canyon. plz help me.
