December 31, 201213 yr In FSX there is the possibility to use DX10 preview. After checking my computer (running Win 7 32 bit) I saw thas DX11 has been installed. Do I get the benifits of DX 11 automaticly or do I would using DX 10 preview the best thing to do ? December 31, 201213 yr Commercial Member FSX was only coded to run DX9 and DX10. A graphics engine typically needs to be coded to utilize newer versions of DirectX. Otherwise, it won't be used. Brandon Filer

December 31, 201213 yr You should not be using DX10 by checking the box in FSX. It was a preview version and should not be used. Please see this post here: http://forum.avsim.net/topic/324786-nvidia-configuration-guide-inspector-2xxxx-drivers-version-20-explanations-of-all-settings/ Kevin Witt

January 1, 201313 yr Author If I understand it well, it's better to install DX10 and use it instead of DX 11 RAES Wilfried EBBT (Intel Core i7-7700 CPU @ 360GHZ, 16 GB RAM, NVDIA GeForce GTX 1070 and Win10 64 bit)
January 1, 201313 yr No you should never uninstall directx. The latest DX is always compatible with the previous versions
January 1, 201313 yr Your configuration is fine. You have DX11 installed on your computer. Make sure that DX10 is not checked in Flight Simulator and it will be using the "DX9" functions of DX11. You can always have a later version of DX installed. Kevin Witt

January 3, 201313 yr FSX will not run under DX11. Installing FSX also installs DX9 which is what FSX uses. Gerry Howard
