December 31, 201213 yr As the title says. I'm looking to enable head movements, such as found in EZdok. As an example, when I throttle up, there should be the effect of being pushed back in my seat. I keep hearing people say that Opus can replace EZdok, but I can't seem to replicate this effect. I can enable to the vibration and shaking effects, but not G reaction effects.
December 31, 201213 yr Commercial Member I tried very hard to get OPUS DHM to act like EZCA but to no avail. I am still at a loss why people prefer the OPUS DHM over EZCA which gives a great feeling of motion and even if it is not realistic as many claim it is very relaxing and makes me feel like I'm actually onboard. Anyway EZCA 2.0 will be out soon and can't wait to see what it has to offer. Cheers jja Jim Allen[email protected]SkyPilot Software home of FSXAssist / P3DAssist
December 31, 201213 yr Go into the camera setup; select the camera view that you have setup for the particular plane; place a check in the DHM box; click onthe DHM button; place a check in the body acceleration boxex for taxi and landing; click "OK". That works for me. Regards, Danny
January 1, 201313 yr Author DannyR, Does this enable an effect similar to being pushed back in your seat when you advance the throttle in an aircraft for takeoff? Or your viewpoint being pushed side when in an adverse yaw maneuver? The DHM settings you describe simply vibrate the cockpit on TO and landing (I already had these enabled).
January 1, 201313 yr Checking "body acceleration" in the DHM section should provide a sense of movement due to acceleration (positive or negative). Quote from the OpusFSX Live Camera pdf: "Tick the Body Acceleration checkboxe (4) to enable additional DHM effects resulting from the current body acceleration data. For example, slight head movements forward and aft to reflect the current acceleration and deceleration in the Z-axis." If you don't use TrackIr, you could also activate the AHM section. The AHM sections provides for automatic head movement based on aircraft control inputs, rudder right, head view turns right, etc. Danny
