Hi

How do you get GoogleEarth to follow A/c position, i can get googleearth to shpw a/c position using FSC. But i need to keep clicking manualy for position to be updated

Assuming you have FSX running, FSC running and Google Earth Running and FSUIPC installed for FSX, then in Google Earth Menu - click on Tools>GSP>Realtime TAB>then set the polling interval to say a few seconds>and click on the automatically follow the path box and your set.

Hello,

There is also GMAP, a freeware version available from http://www.fswidgets.com They have all the versions u may want for all operating systems and simulators.

Or see this Vatsim post for the kml file that will show all vatsim traffic as well as track your flight in real time with google earth.

I already tried that but in my case the map doesnt move following the aircraft position, so after some time it goes out of the screen.- Also at the begginng, Google Earth doesnt situate itself at the aircraft position, as all moving maps do, so you must search for it manually.- I am curious about what happens in your case.-

Google Earth does not follow along with the aircraft in FSC, you are correct. You have to do that manually.

I use Plan-G its perfect for the job and you can turn on the satellite (google layer anyway) to see photo location on the ground....and it moves with the plane.

I found that FSC really draws on my resources to make a GPS connection and my sim becomes unflyable so I don't use it.

i have tried satalite map in Plan-G and it does not look nearly as detailed as Google earth, not by a long shot.

Besides latest version of Plan-G seems to be very buggy, so i am moving away from the tool, granted its free, so cant complain.

Thanks for lettign us know google earth does not auto follow a/c.
