January 6, 201313 yr Cool. Seems like we're on a waterfall streak.I like these because they can be a challenge to find and collect for the most part. Plus, the search takes you to some of the most photogenic areas of Hawaii. When I collected the last three days caches, I saw many more falls in the area so we might have a bunch more AOTD's like this in the future. Enjoy. Thank you. January 6, 201313 yr Lots and lots of falls in the area for sure! From the water fall I went on to Upolu to pick up some cargo. Something familiar about this pick-me-up truck with the one red door. This guy must get around. Steve
January 7, 201313 yr A warning for those who don't use the aerocache sensor - the in-game hint is wrong. Lahomene is not in Waipio Valley (where Aa and Waimoo Falls are); it's in Waimanu Valley, the valley next door, to the west. - Peter C http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Bob_and_Ray_Show
January 7, 201313 yr Spent way too much time trying to find this one. Was looking inside the valleys not so much on top and the cache indicator only gave 2, 5 and 10 mile ranges. The cache photo looked like trees, that narrows it down! I like short and sweet caches. I can add to the flight if I have time.
January 7, 201313 yr I started at Honokaa - such a nice looking place. Aren't these canyons lovely? Believe me, as somebody who has been working on FS terrain for many years, this is an enormous improvement and the devs and artists did a fabulous job! This must be the place! Decided to fly down to Kona - here, entering the pattern. On the apron - all that wealth of detail. Best regards. Luis Hot, humid Caribbean paradise!
