Thrustmaster Hotas Warthog Flightstick VS G940 PMDG 737NGX

Featured Replies

Thrust reverser is an axis, or used to be, it's been a while since I fiddled with it. I'd have my Saitek throttle leavers mapped to reverse. What if you split the Warthog throttle, fsuipc should recognize as two axes.

But thr. rev. as a button sounds great, the Saitek throttle leavers have a detent that would suit perfectly for thr. rev. I could never find it as a button action, well, guess there's even more to look forward to on my new build.

Thrust reverse for both the Warthog and the Saitek throttles are buttons..

On the warthog, lifting the throttles over the rear detent activates the button for each throttle, and on the saitek throttles, the little detent at the bottom is also a button. Both sets of throttles do the same thing, so you program each button separately to activate thrust decrease, and when released, thrust idle..

If you leave the throttles at zero, then load up either Windows Game controller window to calibrate or FSUIPC, then move the throttle down into the detent, you will see it activates a button push

Sure, but I could never find the button setting in FSUIPC, could only find thr. rev. axis, which worked fine, you could grade the amount of reverse thrust when assigning leavers to them. Just a hassle to lose two leavers for something that a button would do for you. Anyways, I´ll get the latest FSUIPC in due time and look for the button action. Thx.

Thats unusual, because FSUIPC has it a one of the big tabs at the top... Been like that since I started using it 6 months ago..

...and it´s been approx. two years since I last used it lol, so undoubtedly things have happened since I last fiddled with it. Glad I saw the button thingy here. Lookingn forward to installing new version this spring. Cheers.

Ahhh, fair play mate... Good luck with it... FSUIPC is great once you get your head around it. I spent quite some time reading the manual and pressing buttons :-)

If you need any help, let me know.. Not an FSX expert, but will do what I can..

Thx, mate. Yeah, I reckon it will be a bit like riding a unicycle again after a long time...

MB, there are a few threads on the forum re the Warty, but you read them at your own expense! I think Richard is the latest member of the Hog club and probably reflects the same opinion of all Warthog owners
