February 4, 201313 yr It seems impossible to crash FSX nowadays. ##### Ya that's why there is an entire forum dedicated to it
February 4, 201313 yr For me it's the same, I'd love to use it, but ENB always crashes my FSX, too. Florian
February 4, 201313 yr ##### Ya that's why there is an entire forum dedicated to it I think the main cause of CTD's is people's overclock settings. An overclock can appear stable for a long time, it will even pass all the standard overclock tests, but with FSX it's a different story. I found that out the hard way. This was the guide that took all the guesswork out of my overclock Note this guide refers to the older generation of Intel processors, but the guy who wrote the guide knows his stuff. Since using his methodology I haven't had a CTD in I don't know how long. http://www.overclock...locking-guides/ Bryan.
February 4, 201313 yr Tried. Seems ENB is good for daytime but dark at night. So i just use default effect.

A lot of times it is the user's FSX sliders way too high, or something is wrong with their Microsoft Visual C++ directories. Incorrect RAM settings can be a culprit as well.

Well, incorrect RAM settings will occur, especially if overclocking with a processor which does not allow the RAM to be overclocked apart from the processor. I have never had a CTD with FSX sliders to high, rotten performance certainly, but crash no. Bryan.
February 5, 201313 yr In the end I found that the ENB mod blurs too much detail from textures so I abandoned its use several months ago. The Shade add on was a flash in the pan love affair: a nice change but not worth its side effects in the long run. All the FXAA mod apps are also useless to me as well; I found I could get simular effects by using my monitor's imaging presets, e.g. cinema, scenery, etc., plus the stuff that actual did something useful IMO ate too many frames. April 23, 201412 yr Hi guys after many many hours of work in fsx i understood that dx9 works better with less bugs than dx10.So i have fsx in dx9 with:REX 4,FTX Global and Enb mode wich i love!!The problem is that rex water in dx9 with dx 1 or even 32bit animation doesnt look good at all compared to the water in dx10 i get very very little reflex of the sun into the sea and that was just amazing with dx10...Anyone please who had the same issue please answer.........thanks in advise!
