RealityXP 430/530 VC Textures

Featured Replies

Recently bought the RealityXP 430/530 and WAAS unlimited licenses. Going through the install seemed pretty straightforward but for some reason the GPS' selected don't show up in the VC. They only seem to install as a popup view. Is there something I'm missing or is the popup the only way to run the GPS in the VC?

Some add-on aircraft companies develop installation programs to put RXP units into their panels. In other cases companies provide "blank" panels sections so you can put them in yourself. There is a learning curve to accomplishing it, and sometimes the results are acceptable, but not perfect. If you visit forums here such as the Carenado UNOFFICIAL Support Forum you will find other members have worked with each other to develop quite a number of installations even including installation of multiple GPS units in some models by that company.

Yeah they don't magically appear in VC's hehe. Your options are:

1) Install them as 2D popup

2) Install them via your own edits (and/or helpful user edits) into a VC that will accept them

3) Use payware addons that have config programs which automatically install them.

If you won't know which ones will do a search I know I've posted a lot of them at least five times in the last few years.

The support forum is a great source of info on panel.cfg solutions for installing these units: http://www.simforums...a804837963.html

What aircraft are you having issues with?

I've just started messing with it. I've got several payware aircraft that I use.. The few that I've tried starting with were the A2A civilian mustang, the Carenado B200 and the Carenado P46T. Thanks for the forums tip.

Thank you for your insight. I thought that with the config for the RXP units, they would be installed into the VC automatically. I suppose I should have done a little more research.

Thanks for your help, Ryan. I'd looked through my installations and the only one I found with auto-installers were the piston and turbine dukes. Where would I look or what could I search for to find these auto-configs?

Maybe I've gotten in over my head. Thanks guys.
