February 10, 201313 yr I'm trying to paint this aircraft, but all my other PSD files open except for the fuselage master. Anyone has had any issues with this file before? Johnny Rosario
February 10, 201313 yr Author If anyone could help me please, I would really appreciate it. By the way, the memory problem is giving me I have no clue why is doing so since I'm not running anything else when I trying to load this texture on to my PaintShopPro program. Johnny Rosario
February 11, 201313 yr Author I'm still hoping someone who knows about painting this aircraft can help me resolve my issue. I'm sure people are busy and it may take time to respond, but if anyone can help, please do. Thank you... Johnny Rosario
February 12, 201313 yr Hey Johnny, I haven't used Paint Shop myself, but I've heard of others having the same issue. It is a very large document with a lot of layers. It may take something like photoshop to open it. Hopefully somebody that knows for sure will help you, I just hated to see your question going unanswered! Chris Hicks
February 12, 201313 yr Author Thanks Chris. I've been meaning to switch to photoshop, but I've been using paintshoppro for so long that I'm so use to it. Johnny Rosario
February 12, 201313 yr Thanks Chris. I've been meaning to switch to photoshop, but I've been using paintshoppro for so long that I'm so use to it. If you have already planned to switch to Photoshop anyway, I can only back you up in this: do it. I had been working (trying to work) on the NGX paintkit using the GIMP, PaintShop and Photoshop, and Photoshop is the most hassle-free experience. We may like it or not, but PS is the industry standard. Dave P. Woycek
February 12, 201313 yr Author Wow, am I right on Adobe Photoshop CS5 price? I was looking online for it and it's over $500.00! I think that at that price my desires to paint the NGX has dwindle. Johnny Rosario
February 12, 201313 yr Wow, am I right on Adobe Photoshop CS5 price? I was looking online for it and it's over $500.00! I think that at that price my desires to paint the NGX has dwindle. Just look online for someone selling their old copy of Photoshop 7. If they sell you the original package with the serial number, that's all you need. I would think the price would be very small. Photoshop 7 with the Nvidia DDS plugin (which is free from Nvidia) is all you need to paint liveries in FSX. If I had my copy of version 7, I'd give it to you, but I gave mine away after I upgraded to CS5 a few years ago. You can find Photoshop Elements online for under $100, but I've never used that version and am trying to remember if it provides all the basic functions (layers, tools, etc.). Maybe someone who has the "Elements" version can answer that question. Steve StubbsUSAF (retired)
February 12, 201313 yr Author Thanks Steve, I'll shop around and see what bargains I can find then. Johnny Rosario
