Cockpit sounds not working

I just recently bought my pmdg 737 nxg from the pmdg website the program installed correctly and everything eas fine. But when i run FSX with a PMDG plane there is no sounds i can only hear the engines. No APU, clicks, bell, call outs, EGPWS test sound nothing etc... i dont know what to do i need help

Welcome to the PMDG forum, which requires your full name on each post.

 

The most common reason for sound problem is not having the aircraft, simulator and windows all using the same sound device.  There could be other reasons but you provided less that sufficient information.

I usually fix it tapping twice the leter q  to mute / unmute wierd issue and wierder solution..but it works for me.

This is usually what I recommend to people first.

This is the more common issue, as Dan mentioned.
