February 28, 201313 yr Even better than the Event Viewer (in most cases) is the AppCrashView - http://www.nirsoft.n...crash_view.html . It provides all the info in a Microsoft crash report (.wer). Just copy the crash report here so we can take a look. Best regards, Jim Jim Young | AVSIM Online! - Simming's Premier Resource! February 28, 201313 yr Author Never mind guys, and please do not tell this to the fellows at the X-Plane forums.... I just reverted back to Win7, and installed FSX Gold. It is running like a charm without a single CTD, and smooth as never before with my new graphics card, and the 16G RAM. I did it because of the upcoming C172 from A2A, the A2A Civil p51d I already own, and most probably the Aerosoft Airbus X, who I am becoming really tempted to try out ;-) It was not the best choice - I know I should have investigated further to find out what caused that incompatibility with Win8, when DCS, SilentWings and FlightGear were all running so well, but I was also in a rush to participate in a beta for a great product I can't really mention here.... For all of your kind posts, a big THANK YOU!
