Using TrackIR 5 w/ NGX results in "flickering" VC view

Featured Replies

I bought TrackIR 5 last week and it works great with every add-on in FSX except the NGX. When I start taxiing, the VC begins to "flicker" rapidly. As long as the plane is standing still it's okay. I might need to make a video to explain this unless someone has seen it before. I have EZDok and Accu-Feel installed but even with those effects turned off it still flickers. Mind you, this is the only add-on doing this, otherwise TrackIR works great in FSX and DCS World. Anyone have a solution?

Mate I am using same products as well and no probs. at all . It must be something else . What I can do if I find how to send you my profile for ezdok for ngx as well as track ir5 profile which I use with ngx too . Just to see if it is still playing around . Regards Petr .

Try minimizing the light sources around your TrackIR unit.

Thanks,

Kevin L

What Tatave says. Sunlight in the room also causes all sorts of randomness too.

Also, make sure that if you have Opus FSX installed (for weather) that you turn off the dynamic head movements and automatic head movements in the addon menu.

isnt it a shame that a 170 euro product cant handle sunlight...did a flight in the morning, had to close almost all blinds at my windows..

S. Keller - You can change the sensors on Track IR to be more sensitive. Look under the camera panel on the Track Ir window

But it sounds like Mr. Chapstick is having a different problem if it works in other AC fine.

You do not need to make sure you have Opus installed. While it is nice it is by no means required.

Hey Buddy,

Checking my settings -

BTW I live in Florida (the sunshine state) I live by the water so no shade and my huge office window is right next to me. I had problems too.

I changed my Light Threshold setting to 240 and that seemed to help. :)

Only other thing I have different than yours is Smoothing set to 50.
