I will reload it sometime and do that Tom. Thanks.

I do apologise, I didnt mean to trash the effort. I did also understate my apprication for what I did like.By listing the areas where I fealt it had fualt, I meant it to hopefully be used to help improve the addon. I did also strat to rant on some of the areas where I feel devolpers have neglected, such as with the VC. With a handfull of gauges missing from this addon It left me with a feeling of something incompleate.Somewhere along the line I got it in my head that this was going to be something above and beyond what we have been seeing released in FS. With my expectations so high it was my own fualt that I was let down. There are issues I'd like to see fixed. Mainly a compleate VC and landing lights visible from the VC. I do also feel that it has the potental to be a revolutionary FS addon.Again I apologise for the tone of my last post, I didnt mean any of my comments to be a complaint. I hope that my comments would be used to point out areas that do need improvement and to possible contribute to making this an even better adition to FS.

Maybe a little bit of tact is needed in situations like this.I was not totally happy with the VC, but I decided to try and make the VC better, as such I found a way to get PC12 engine instruments in the VC, and I posted this find at AFG's board.I also believe with a little work the VC can be improved, I see their are a few people on the board working to improve it.I am halfway there to having most functions clickable in the VC, and I will post my soloutions when they are ready. So maybe instead of poo-pooing someones hard FREE work, either delete it and put it down to experiance OR try and make it better, that way we as a community can all benefit from it.As for expectations, they are all your own, maybe it is a better idea to go into something without any expectations, then you may not be so dissapointed.Dan.

Great work on the panel mod, Dan! Trevor

I'm having a little problem with this aircraft..when I exit the sim after flying it I get the Microsoft error message; I have "previous flight" as the default, so on restarting I'm always starting the same flight over. Also when I try to change to another aircraft the sim crashes with the same error message. Only way I can get out of this aircraft without this is to create a new flight. Anyone else have a problem like this or does anyone have a suggestion? JamesJ

Thanks Wolf for the post.... In that spirit, I have some observations about the AFG V/C (I tried to open an account on their site and never received a confirmation email). When I was updating Dave Eckert's Eclipse, I had a heck of a time trying to get the VC gauges to appear clearly. It isn't a very sophisticated VC--default gauges all the way--but I wanted it as an option for my users. I realized that the VC poly I had in the model was too large, so I split it and my gauges were much clearer. It seems to me that the PC-12 may suffer from the same problem in the V/C. I also suggest animating the yoke in the VC. In my project above, I compromised. I animated the stick (the Eclipse uses a sidestick), but left the rudder pedals static. More of a time saver than anything else, but it kept most of the items in view looking as they would in a VC environment.Last item, as already mentioned, is product packaging. I suggest developers leave out default gauges since they inflate package size (and bandwidth use) quite a bit. However, great panels can be made with default gauges--I love PMDG's 1900 panel. I would have preferred those vs. the PC-12 gauges in the panel. Also I've noticed if those gauges get loaded, MSFS will sometimes lock switching to another aircraft--a first for me.For exterior visuals, I think the PC-12 is fantastic. One idea (for simmers who prefer to roll their own panel) is for AFG to create a "wing view only" model minus the cabin and VC. Erick Cantu has been very popular w/his various releases that excel on visual quality and leave the user to their own devices vs. picking the best panel, etc... The PC-12's exterior visuals are easily in the same league as such work...Regards,John

Read my post above--same problem here. I've aliased a defau;t panel for the time being to the PC-12. I lose the VC, but the CTD problem goes away.-John

Supposedly there is a fix for the error on closing on their forum, I get the same thing to. I think while the Durst panel is supposed to be all that, that is what lead to the tricky install and the problems, to bad they don't have a panel designer in the group.Personally I really like the aircraft, with some better texturing/mapping in the cockpit (more realistic panel BMP) and the prop showing in the VC, I would be thrilled with it.
