September 3, 200421 yr ...the download is corrupt. More details at their website.http://www.alliedfsgroup.com/I sure hope I don't wear out my F5 key checking the website for a good download! Trevor
September 3, 200421 yr I worked for me, but I had to manually get all the panels and guages into the right folders. Once I did. WOW! this plane comes close to payware quality. It is something else. Thanks you AFG!
September 4, 200421 yr Huge download Dakota...I never saw in the previews--is the aircraft equipped with a virtual cockpit/cabin?And their site mentions only one livery to date, so what does that large (40+ meg) dl package consist of?-John
September 4, 200421 yr Author Mostly panel John, seems there is the David Durst version and the AFG version which works with the VC. Full DVC and cabin as well and one livery with the d/l. What a nightmare to install the panels and gauges, those with little FS install knowledge are in for a treat! LOLFirst impressions, great exterior model, animated tags, pilot etc. Bit dissapointed in the VC (and panel) design, somewhat basic in design and looks like I might be missing some textures in the VC, not sure yet. Good cabin and great sounds, especially for the extras, door, startup, etc. the prop animation dissapears in the VC once you start it, kinda wierd.Handles great, very responsive and has a bit of power to her. I'll take her up more this weekend and give her the run thru. All in all a very nice aircraft, definately worth checking out if you are a fan of the PC-12, thanks AFG!Regards, MichaelKDFWhttp://www.calvirair.com/mcpics/PBTMCa.jpgCalVirAir International VACalVirAir International Best, Michael KDFW
September 4, 200421 yr Thanks for the rundown on the PC-12.... Sounds worthy of a download.I don't know about gmax--I've seen prop animations vanish in FSDS 2 aircraft for two reasons. One, is the blurred prop isn't copied over to the VC model. Second is a part order issue--in FSDS 2 transparent parts like blurred props have to be last (or next to last if a transparent window material exists between the viewpoint and the prop). It would have been cool to see that prop spinnin' away for hours on end... :)Off to DL now...-John
September 4, 200421 yr Here's to AFG for a great plane and panel. I especially loved the animated pilot. great work AFG and thanks. Its definately worth downloading.Don;-)
September 4, 200421 yr Ok, well, for those of us with little FS gauge knowledge, does anyone care to share a guide to installing this thing? H e l p k e e p A V S I M f l y i n g
September 4, 200421 yr Commercial Member Can we get this up on the AVSIM File Library - I'm only getting like 5k/sec from the AFG site... Ryan MaziarzFor fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com
September 4, 200421 yr It was a very SLOW download, but well worth it. And the install was really not that bad, just follow the directions. Thanks AFG!Jim
September 4, 200421 yr I realise I'm living in the past, but........does it work in 2K2?Gavin Gavin Barbara Over 10 years here and AVSIM is still my favourite FS site :-)
September 4, 200421 yr is it correct that the engine instruments don`t display in the vc view? That`s the situation I have but the install instructions don`t really make it clear?CheersRottenlungs
September 4, 200421 yr Hi,I can confirm that the engine instruments are missing in the virtual cockpit. After reading of the panel.cfg file included in the panel.vc folder, I have noticed that there is no line referring to the dedicated gauges. It led me to think that this feature was not planned in the initial project.Kind regards...Vincent
