March 13, 201313 yr I missed something I guess, because I cannot, try as I may, get any marker beacon indication on my MD-11 aircraft while making an ILS approach. I did not find a direct reference in the operation manual, so i hope someone here in the Forum will show me how to activate the MBs, including the audio, when flying over them. Thanks in advance for any assistance... Lee
March 13, 201313 yr hi Lee, look at the radio panel. you must turn on the marker with a little knob. i can not post a picture right now but near the frequency selector there are many round little knobs. pull out the one that says marker and you are set! (i think it is abbreviated MKR or something like that) that will give you the audio signal, the visual indication on the PFD should be there regardless. Denis Kosbeck KPHX

March 13, 201313 yr I am Not sure what you are asking for ? But if I got this correctly you are asking about this Little Yellow Flashing M that tells you ,, You are at the inner marker and outer marker it comes on very fast and pretty much you have to be centered if you are High or LoW it will not show , and you must be Focused on your panel Not looking out side while doing an ILS APP .. You also have one while Takeoff but it is in BLUE ,, but remember it comes on very fast if this is your Question hop this helps Happy Landing Firas Salim"The joy of being is the joy of being conscious. There are 3 of them, outer marker is blue, middle marker is yellow, and inner marker is white. They have their respective audio signal if you switch it on at the audio panel. Now of course you could get a marker indication on departure if the approach of the opposite runway has them (and in FSX they are always on if placed). But you wouldn't have the marker sounds on during departure. Cheers, Markus Markus Burkhard
