FSX Downloads Incorrect Weather Data

Featured Replies

Hello,

I've recently noticed that on my computer, FSX downloads the same weather every time.  No matter what airport I am flying at, the weather is always the same.  At my local airport, it always says it 41 degrees with S winds, and today it's calm and 77 degrees.

I've uninstalled FSX, deleted all the files and folders I could find relating to FSX, and reinstalled it.  I've deleted the Temporary Internet Files and the cached files.  Pretty much everything that I have tried has failed.

Does anyone else have this problem, or has had this problem and successfully solved it?  I really don't want to wipe the entire computer and reinstall everything.  That would really suck.

Thanks in advance.

I can confirm. I had a live topic about this two days ago. http://forum.avsim.net/topic/402464-fsx-weather-engine-issues-today/ The weather appears to be the same as Monday of this past week.  My weather had been just fine until Tuesday.  It loads the same every time at each of three airports I have tried.  The same right down to the altimeter setting.  You can stop your frantic attempts to fix the issue with reinstalls, etc.

Hmmm, wrong forum perhaps?

So you stopped short!  What forum is your suggestion?  This is an FSX specific issue since it regards the native FSX wx engine.

Yes, which forum do you suggest?  The 777, NGX, 747?  This IS the General Forum, is it not?  And this is a general issue/question, right?

And thanks for the info FP, it's good to know I'm not the only one experiencing this problem.  I guess it looks like I'm gonna have to break down and purchase some 3rd party software, which is going to put a dent in my funds to buy the upcoming Q400 I've been dying to get my hands on, seeing as I'll be flying it one day.

Maybe it's just a temporary issue and will be fixed before I buy something...  And maybe Game Spy will come back too.  Not.

Glad I'm not the only one experiencing this...I wonder what has happened?
