March 20, 201313 yr While we wait for the next update from LR...lol, here is a nice documentary on how British Airways perform maintenance on the 747, kind of long (1 hour) but is well worth it. It's amazing to see how they disassemble these beasts, checked every single component and reassembled it in only 5 weeks. Impressive!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f5f5b9Jv3C8 enjoy!!! March 20, 201313 yr Commercial Member It's a great show, and the whole thing happens just a hour from me! Sadly, Cardiff sees more flights coming in for maintenance than actual scheduled traffic. It's still fun though landing a PA-28 in front of a BA 777. :-)
March 20, 201313 yr It is going to be fun hopping 777s from Heathrow to Cardiff and back... I remember seeing the BA facilities years ago, probably not long after they were built. An old college friend of mine used to live in Llantwit Major... A Andrew Entwistle

March 24, 201313 yr Thanks for this link. An excellent program with a refreshing minimum of unnecessary 'discovery/nat geo channel' over-dramatisation! Mark Adeane - NZWN
