I seriously doubt that the Department of Defense or Boeing Defense would allow PMDG to develop the airplane's systems or flight physical aspects. Maybe it could be an expansion pack with just an exterior modification.

IIRC Rob or Ryan once said that a model-only extension akin to 748/LCF for the Queen will be possible after the big birds are out.

P8 repaints have been made, unfortunately, it is not possible for them to have the external features of the actual Poseidon.

Not to get off topic but I want a 737-900ER expansion pack from PMDG afterwards first and foremost.

Ummm  tinkering with the PMDG model, in public, probably wouldn't be wise.

How much experience creating FS addons do you have to go around claiming something should and should not be hard?

I said its not hard to turn the PMDG 737-800 in to P-8 or the PMDG 737-700 into the E-737, cause they just need to add exterior features to the aircraft the flight charcteriscs are still the same, the only diff is that they have a hud and no seats expect for the team on board, i didn't say it wont take long to do.

I can see PMDG doing two more expansion packs for the 737NGX. A military one with P-8 & E-737 and then another with the 900ER & BBJ. 

 

I just wanted to add my voice to this one, would be great to have.
