March 30, 201313 yr Hello Everyone:) I'm newbie and I've got a seroious problem on my FS9 lol....... First of all,I'll give you some informations about my PC Main Board:Samsung G15/G16 CPU:Intel Core Duo T2600 2.0Ghz RAM:Hynix DDR2 2.5GB(2.0+0.5) HDD:Hitachi(well..i don't know 'bout the model name sorry....) 300GB Internal VGA:AMD Radeon Xpress 1250M 256MB Using Version of FS:FS9.1 updated So,the problem....I formatted the computer for the smooth running of my FS.But the FS is slower than before. Of course,i installed all drivers for the VGA! For example, before format my computer.I got 10-15 frames in Overland Incheon but now,It's 5-10... When I'm crusing at the high altitude,it's quite smooth but if i'm on the ground(or low alt.) the frame is critically low.' Ahh,specifically. If the buildings/Autogens are loaded....If they aren't visible the frame increases, but if they're visible, the frame quickly decreases.... I know that autogen/buildings can cause a frame decrease but it's toooooooo much... So these days i can't flight with FS cause there's too much lag on the ground lol..... Anyone give me some clue plz... I'll wait for ur replies HAVE A NICE FLIGHT~~
March 31, 201313 yr Although I can't tell you why you, apparently, at one point had better frames, I can tell you why you don't have good frames. Although FS9 is frame rate friendly compared to FSX on lower end computers, 2GHz is simply not enough to be running FS9 and expecting smooth frames near the ground. Too much to compute with too little speed. Try getting a better system; FS9 systems won't be too expensive now days with the technology advancements and cheaper prices on older hardware.
March 31, 201313 yr Author Thx Flydelta:) Maybe I should upgrade my hardwares....LOL Then I can run it better than before... Anyways,Thanks for your advices hehe have a nice flight!

One thing you should definitely look to do is get a dedicated graphics card. (I notice you are using on-board graphics )this will not only improve performance but will enhance the look of the sim as well. Whatever your PC old or new ,you should always try to get a dedicated Graphics card. This needn't be a super expensive one either. My old, nearly seven year old single core PC with GForce 6600GT card runs FS9 very well. So your modern computer should be fine. Andy Update !!i thought you were using on-board graphics ,but not quite sure now. Somebody more tech savvy will help I am sure .
March 31, 201313 yr Ill help you out a bit if you're ready to upgrade and have a desktop that is compatible to do so.
March 31, 201313 yr Exactly since when are you having this FPS issues? Maybe a Windows update triggered these issues. Have you tried a System Restore to a date previous to these problems? Best regards,Luis Hernández Main rig: self built, AMD Ryzen 7 5700X3D (with SMT off and CO -50 mV), 2x16 GB DDR4-3200 RAM, Nvidia RTX 5060Ti 16GB, 256 GB M.2 SSD (OS+apps) + 2x1 TB SATA III SSD (sims) + 1 TB 7200 rpm HDD (storage), ID-Cooling SE-224-XTS air cooler, Viewsonic VX2458-MHD 1920x1080@120-144 Hz (G-sync compatible), Windows 11. Running P3D v5.4 (with v4.5 scenery objects as an additional library, just in case), FSX-SE, MSFS2020, MSFS2024 and even FS9! Lossless Scaling for all my sims. April 2, 201313 yr IF you had good FPS before and you now do not, you have got something misconfigured or corrupted in your install. What you describe sounds like one of two things: 1.) You have a Landclass scenery with a texture folder - FS is frantically looking for textures for the landclass - solution, identify the landclass folder and delete the texture folder in there. (ONLY valid if the problem only occurs in certain parts of the FS world) 2.) Some file in the global landclass or autogen files has become corrupted. Solution - reinstall FS from scratch. Start over. That will be much simpler and faster than trying to figure out which file has gone bad!
