A2A B 377 opinions

Featured Replies

It seems like the last great FSX payware aircraft I don't have is the A2A simulations B377 Stratocruiser!  Thinking of gettin' it but wanted some opinions first from those who have it.  Thanks

With the Captain of the Ship package, it's fantastic.  Quite immersive.  You can do as much or as little (turning over operations to the co-pilot and engineer) as you want, and the interaction with the "back" is fun.  But it's A2A Accu-sim, so can there really be any question?

I love it. It is a great add-on. A challenge to learn, but worth it as it is different.A great simulation of an era when there was no GPS. Plus you have to think of the airplane, and the passengers too, which is great. I fly mostly trans-pacific with it, Hawaii, Midway, Wake, Guam, and on to Japan.

One of the best and most imersive, needs a little practice to fly her properly, even having engines that dont all behave the same so constant temp and throttle monitoring, you use the mouse a lot on the throttles unless you have 4 throttle controls.

It's an amazing, one-off product and there really is nothing else like it.   Like all A2A products, it reeks quality.

You can just buy the basic aircraft if you wish, which let you 'get away' with poor engine management etc, but with the Accu-Sim COTS (Captain of the ship) add-on it becomes a totally different beast, with tons of amazing sound and realism enhancements.

+AccuSim and +COTs, its amazing. Very immersive with the engineers and flight attendant! Be cautious of switches moving themselves though ;)

Happy Flying,

Definitely worth it as long as you run it realistically. Flying the piston props of that size is a lost art - the immersion level is incredible. And be sure to get AccuSim and Captain of the Ship - that makes it perfect.
