how to make a plane spotting view?

Featured Replies

hi there,

I've got a question.... I want to know how I can make a plane spotting view within FSX (I heared it's possible with FSReccorder) so I can record a flightvideo from the sice of the runways or from a terminal....
But intill now I can't figure out how to do this... can someone tell me how to make such a view??

or perhaps give me a link to a tutorial on how to do this??

thanks in advance!

If you get the EZDOC camera you can put a cam wherever you want.

Default you get some cams inside and utside of your plane or heli and more...

Google for it, you can find some great videos explaining.

It´s a must as addon for me.

Here's a substitute camera definition for the default 'Runway' view. ( make a backup of your orginal Cameras.cfg first ).

When you now choose Runway view from the view menu you are placed on the ground in the vicinity of the runway you choose. Use the Ctrl/Shift/Enter/Back key combo's to move to the exact spot you want. Use Ctrl/Space to stop movement. Shift/Enter moves the camera Up, Shift/Back down. If the airport has, say, 5 runways, you can have 5 cameras along the Take-off ( or Landing ) runway. You can now view your aircraft take-off or approach, land and roll out by selecting the camera's in sequence ( A key ),just like in the movies. From a spotter's 'point of view' it can't get any better that this. B)
