Fsx acceleration should I load it

Featured Replies

Guys read that:

FSX Acceleration is the MULTI-Core feature integrated into FSX.

Doesn't the patchs take care of that ? dont care about extra aircraft so should I be loading this for a good reason also have loaded a bunch of stuff now would it be ok to load it now ?

Thanks

Yes SP2 took care of that. If you don't want the extra planes or missions then no.

Rich, if you have it, why not use it? I like the carrier ops feature.

Dave

Acceleration also provides extra features that are required by some add-ons.

Helicopters mainly?

I'm not sure, I think I've heard of the Xpack to introduce a few bugs and/or stability issues into FSX.

Is that true or just a rant? I've installed SP1 and SP2, not sure whether I should add Xpack as well myself.

What happened to AVSIM

Helicopters mainly?

That (such as slingloads) and military things like HUDs etc.

There are a few addons that explicitely require ACC instead of SP2, but those are mainly military addons, which need ACC for the HUDs, and I guess the availability of afterburners(?). But since not everyone is into fliying fighters in FSX this is not a must have addon.
