GSX+Simcheck's A300B4-200

Featured Replies

If anyone is using SImcheck's excellent A300B4-200 with GSX, can they kindly confirm that an error message to download the latest Add-on Manager flags up when selecting services from the drop-down menu? Or how they managed to overcome those error flags and get GSX working correctly?

Thanks.

Rick Almeida

Not sure if you already know this, but when there is an update for the add-on manager, this message will appear.

Thanks for that Shane. But the bewildering part is that I did update the Add-on Manager from within FSX. Let me elaborate.

Been using GSX without a single blemish on PMDG's range of MD-11X, 747-400X, and the 7373NGX on 50 flights each plane=150 total. Decided to park up that fleet and trundle the Simcheck's AB300B4-200 out, which when I select doors from the on-screen menu, opens the L front door and places a stairway to that door. Selecting catering services from GSX, then throws up that error.

Hope I have explained my dilemma.

I have used GSX with the A300 without issue before. Did you get the custom made file for the A300 from the GSX forum? Maybe it will help, otherwise, you may need to put a post in their forum. Good luck.

Okay, I obtained the gsx.cfg file that somebody in the GSX Forums has created, and as per the GSX Manual have placed it in the Simcheck's A300B2-400 aircraft folder's root directory ------/SimObjects/Airplanes/Simcheck............but still get the same error flag as per the attachment. I'm none the wiser or further to resolving this. Any ideas or further suggestions?

Rick Almeida

Hmmm, looks like you may have a configuration problem with the COUATL Add On manager, not GSX itself. I would uninstall and then reinstall and see if that fixes it.

Hope someone from the virtuali can help you.

Hi Rick,

Download the stand alone manager from FSDT, and that should fix it.

Hi Julian. Thanks for that. But I'm a bit perplexed with your suggestion. Is there a separate Stand Alone Add-on Manager as opposed to the Add-on Manager I've been currently using, which has been updated, or is it one and the same?

Rick Almeida

No Rick, it is not a separate one. What it does is basically repairs and updates, as long as you restart your computer after running it. Umberto always recommends doing this when things go pear shape. Always use the latest one from FSDT, as it's updated regularly.

Hi Julian. Thanks for that. Will try that and get back to you.

EDIT

Where does this Add-on Manager reside? I tried to install a brand new download but it will not let me. Something about Error 5, No access, etc

Rick Almeida

Hmm that;s one I have not struck. I think some of it, not all, go's to Z:\Flight Simulator X\fsdreamteam\couatl
