April 23, 201313 yr I seem to be doing OK but on take off with the same load as demo flight and 3000LB of fuel. weight etc set as per demo flight after opening the exit doors. I did not change Trim it's at the top of the TO marking. But when I start take off roll after picking up speed I get a take off warning noise and the Q400 take off on it's own at around 96kts and then it goes all bad. So how can I set trim right pls. April 23, 201313 yr Commercial Member David,As long as the trim is within the takeoff range, that is good. When you rejected your takeoff was the trim out of the takeoff range? Something had to change or was de-activated for the takeoff warning horn to go off. If you are using aileron deflection for a crosswind takeoff, too much aileron deflection will cause the TO warning horn to soundTriggers:Flaps not setCondition Levers not at MAXElevator Trim out of Takeoff rangeParking brake set to ON Excessive aileron input during takeoff KROSWYND a.k.a KILO_WHISKEYMajestic Software Development/Support Sys 1: AMD 7950X3D, NOCTUA D15S, Gigabyte Elite B650, MSI 4090, 64Gb Ram, Corsair 850 Power Supply, 2x2TB M.2 Samsung 980s, 1x4TB WDD M.2, 6xNoctua 120mm case fans, LG C2 55" OLED running at 120Hz for the monitor, Win11. April 23, 201313 yr Author None of them, all set right, take off is a straight run but around 60-70 kts I get the warring and around 90 kits it takes off on its own. TO Center of gravity is as your picture as I set it up with same weights etc. David Murden. April 23, 201313 yr Commercial Member This is off the wall but have a look at your aileron trim indicator and verify that it too is centered prior to takeoff. April 23, 201313 yr Commercial Member Ok thanks, it will be tomorrow night. Ok no problem ... I have have not been able to fly my Dash since Saturday anyway....LOL How i can adjust the TRIM in this aircraft? I don't see the wheel ... The elevator trim in the Dash Q400 is electrically driven (no trim wheel). Unless you have a trim wheel, you can assign the nose up/nose down functions to the default FSX keys/buttons (I think they are 7 and 1 on the NUM keypad or is it 9 and 3) KROSWYND a.k.a KILO_WHISKEYMajestic Software Development/Support Sys 1: AMD 7950X3D, NOCTUA D15S, Gigabyte Elite B650, MSI 4090, 64Gb Ram, Corsair 850 Power Supply, 2x2TB M.2 Samsung 980s, 1x4TB WDD M.2, 6xNoctua 120mm case fans, LG C2 55" OLED running at 120Hz for the monitor, Win11. April 24, 201313 yr Author Simeon, When you are at hold short or line up with no brakes on, I did switch the TO config warning Test button ON and the horn was going off is that.. A) Just to show the horn is working B )I did have a config out. If A it does not give me a clue why, if B I still have no idea why the plane takes off all by it's self at 90kts! To me it's feels like the trim is set way out, but it's not, it's within the TO band or it's like am pulling back on the stick. I have no idea if this is a clue but one of the lights that is on is elevation, but when I use my stick left and right forward back the light goes out, I just thought it was a test for control? Another Q Just how does the trim set itself up. Normally you need to work it out and set it. David Murden. April 25, 201313 yr Commercial Member These items must be properly configured:FLAPS - 5 to15 degreesCONDITION LEVERS - MAX PARKING BRAKE - RELEASED ELEVATOR TRIM - IN TAKEOFF RANGE Ok I have done a quick video of the triggers that make the takeoff warning horn sound. If all of these items are properly configured and you are still getting the TO warning horn, then we may have a problem. Let me know if this helps. But there are any button in VC? How to assign to a one of my G940 axes via FSUIPC? What axe? The elevator trim is not assigned to an axis, and you can use FSUIPC to assign the buttons of choice for your hardware.
