April 27, 201313 yr I was coming in for a landing at Kona from KSEA. I was flying a 737-900 and had about 200 gallons of fuel on the middle tank left and right tanks. At about 600 ft and about 100 feet from the runway (or a little more) my right engine failed and i was forced to land on one engine. Im just wondering why this happened and what caused it to happen. Also once we figure out why it happened I would like to know how can I prevent it in the future.
April 27, 201313 yr Did you set up a failed engine by mistake? What was the route and how much fuel did you take? You can do a flight with no centre tank at all if it is a short flight. Unless the cross feed is set wrong maybe? J u l ia n D i a m a n d i s

April 28, 201313 yr Today's SEA-KOA flight took off with about 41.6k lbs. and should have landed with around 8.1k. That's a bit more than what you had. Matt Cee
