April 28, 201313 yr Hello there...after a few days trying to figure it out why my PC was getting hot w/o reason at all...just got to the conclusion than using the Q400...the Core can go up to 90c or even more, i even had to Underclock my PC otherwise it will hit the Temperature Alarm and reset itself. It only happens with the Q400, tried a few addons (PMDG NGX, MD11, 747, QW, etc, etc) and every one of them will stay down to 60c or so. When i choose the Q400, every singe core of my PC (0-1-2-3) goes up to 90c...anyone else getting this strange behavior. Specs if anyone interested. I5 2500k Do you guys know if changing anything on the mjc84.ini could fix this issue?. Ty My Youtube Channel (P3D/FSX/X-Plane Videos and much more!)
April 28, 201313 yr Do you use the stock cooler. If not you should try reapplying your thermal paste. Ryan L.

Real Temp and Core Temp Don't replace your thermal compound every month! Thermal compound can take a couple of months to cure, and function optimally. Once applied, leave it alone. I'm going for a Dash 8 Q400 flight shortly, I'll check my temps for the issue you mention.
April 28, 201313 yr Author Last time it was 5 months ago... I just gave an average. To be honest it's kinda strange situation since I never had any issues whatsoever regarding cpu temps, I play several games which are way more cpu intensive than fsx, and it will never go up to 90c,not even close to it. April 28, 201313 yr Well, just did a flight. This is with a 3770k at 4.5GHz Noctua NH-D14. Temps in RealTemp GT were... 37-53 55-60 35-57 34-50 Max briefly was... 53 60 52 50 So all normal with the Q400 for me. What are your specs? Is this a quad core with HT off? If so try AF14 in the cfg.
