May 6, 201313 yr I remember RSR saying that after the 777 gets released that there will be an update to the NGX code base following the improvements in the 777 code. Is that still the case? Also will effects be updated? I'd love to see the night lighting effects updated on the NGX to what the 777 will bring to the table! - Ike Callaway
May 6, 201313 yr Commercial Member There is also going to be an update which updates the flight deck shape as the windows are too tall. I would also like to see any performance gains that have potentially been learned over the last few years since release. Alex Alex Ridge Join Fswakevortex here! YOUTUBE and FACEBOOK
May 6, 201313 yr Commercial Member Gents- The NGX will get updated- but it is not a scheduled update. To make this as clear as I can: It will take place after the 777 release. Might be the same day- might be thirty years... It is very very low priority because we will have all development resources focused on making sure we kill off anything that appears in the 777 after wide release. (There will be some things that need killing... there always are...) I won't speculate on what types of things will get rolled into an update. It depends entirely on how things go with the 777 udpate and how much of our development resources are soaked up on the 777/744... But yes- we do plan an update to push some of the 777 changes back into the NGX because we want to keep them common for simplicity. Robert S. May 6, 201313 yr Can't wait for the NGX update! As much as I will enjoy the beautiful new 777, the NGX will still be my main aircraft it's a joy to fly on those short/medium trips. Hope to see that beautiful 777 lighting incorporated if possible too and hoping for the -900ER to be released as well! Jaison Diaz | Endeavour ai
