May 12, 201313 yr Hi Team, I have been using voxatc for some time now and no flight is complete without it.I have some issues though which take away the realism. 1) Aircraft's landing just short or exactly on the start of the runway, hence hitting every thing on their approach. This happens with both add on airports and default airports. Iam using the woai traffic package. Is there any fix for this 2) I sometimes fly local airports like vabb-vidp-vogo(vago) and somehow cannot request for a full approach. The option is just not there. For example, the airport will have ils/vor/visual xx runway, however i cannot request for a full ils runway xx approach.I have to be vectored. Is there any region specific procedure that vox atc follows as i can request for a full approach in egll or other major airports. Thanks Clinton Royston Fernandes. Vabb-Mumbai India.
May 12, 201313 yr Hi Clinton, I've been using VoxATC since FS9, and there were, are, will probably always be some 'quirks'. However. like you, I NEVER fly without it. Hopefully, it will always be evolving and updated. So, 1) Yes, I've noticed the same AI behaviour as well. I use MyTraffic and at some airports the AI will land short, or exactly on the numbers. Don't know why or if there's any fix. 2) I'm pretty sure this is a function of the airport's afcad. If there is no ILS approach included in the afcad then you won't get the option for a 'Full' ILS approach, just the generic vectored approach. I use Airport Design Editor (free) to edit my afcads. I'm no expert, but it's very easy to use, and I've even added some approaches to my favorite airports. Hope this helps, Jay Current Build (02/2024): AMD 7800X3D | Asrock X670E Steel Legend MB | Noctua NH-U12S Chromax | 32gb GSkill Trident Z5 DDR5-6000 CAS 30 | Samsung 990 Pro 2tb NVMe Gen4 (OS) | WD Black 4tb NVMe Gen4 (MSFS) | Corsair RM1000x Shift Series PS | ASUS RTX 4090 Strix ROG | LG 55" C2 Display

May 17, 201313 yr Ya, AI traffic gets very frustrating at times, like a couple times now leaving KLAX on 06R there are two flights ahead of me, and the first gets cleared for takeoff, rolls onto the runway over the grass, sits at about 30 degrees off and then is just stuck doing nothing for a couple minutes Finally some watchdog timer goes off the plane evaporates, and then the one right in front of me actually does a sane departure. It's hysterical, but also annoyingly time-consuming. BTW, I have all internal traffic off, and my Vox is using UT2 only under its control. Overall I've been happy with this configuration, but these weird little glitches do tend to spoil the immersion Jack F. Vogel, Delta Virtual Airlines
May 21, 201313 yr One of the really new features of Vox is that it generates and controls its own AI traffic. None of the other ATC addons do that. It's a good idea but I think there is room for improvements. If you turn off that feature completely and let UT2 do it then FSX will be controling the traffic. UT2 is not controling it, it just "injects" it. I'm not sure Vox can see and react to that "foreign" traffic. Maybe that is the reason for the strange things you are seeing.
