EKCH STAR

Featured Replies

Hello all :)

I purchased the NGX about a week ago and it truly is amazing! :)

But I found out that the STARs for EKCH (Kastrup, Copenhagen) in the FMC do not match the STARs on the charts published by the Danish aviation authority...

I'm thinking this could be because the FMC uses old data?? Would it be corrected if I bought a navigraph update??

Thanks :)

Most likely it would correct your problem yes..

Kind regards

Great, thanks!

What STARs don't match and what is the error?

If it is the data though (which is the most likely cause) then it will be solved by updating the data.

Some of the SID/STARs (and even airways) were recently updated in Scandinavia. Thus the charts may not match the (old outdated) nav data that comes with the NGX (dated 2010? 2011? something like that)

Or it could be vice versa - your charts are too old.

Could be, but if he bought the NGX two weeks ago and didn't update the navdata, it is highly recommended to update now.

Updating your airac would solve this problem. You'll find updated charts here
