Rattling sound just after takeoff missing ?

Hi all,

 

In this movie you hear the ratteling (wheel) sound just after takeoff when you hear Rotate.

 

I thought Steve Inwood made this sound availible a long time ago in Official Groundroll Enhancement Thread?

 

 

But I can't find the sound.

 

Does anybody know if it is availible and where to get it?

 

Move movie forward to point 04.17 and also 10.04 to hear the sound just after rotate!

When you have the nose wheel balance failure activated you will hear this sound.

Under Setup/ Aircraft/ Failures/ page 3/4 / Miscellaneous/ Programmed/ page 2/2 

 

But I did not hear the sound!

Could be because I use Official Groundroll Enhancement Thread sounds?

 

Maybe you could let me know if you did hear it?

I did hear it but very low not like the sound in the movie.

Maybe a new job for Steve or somebody els?

Who can tune this sound the NoseGearRattle.wav like the sound in the movie?

It is in the sound folder/ PMDG/ Various.

Why dó you want to add that? It's not how it sounds.

When you see an video recorded by (most) cameras, the sounds will be affected to what the exposure is like.. If you have an hard time understanding what I'm trying to imply, then try to watch an audience record of a concert you were at..

 

I used the sounds too once, but after I heard the engines on the trim wheel movement while they where off, I understood why I should keep the original.

I think I know what you mean.

You say the sound is not right, but what about the loudness?

But how do you know this if I may ask?

Is it sort of the same when looking at a movie at the cockpit colours looking more orange?

The sound is the same maybe just a little less louder than You Tube!

 

So Just Planes filming and recording is not right?

To be honest, I never clicked on the video after seeing the video was posted on YouTube.  Based on the posted video, though, it came from Viking Aviation Photo, so it seems that it's not from your average jumpseater with a point and shoot.  However, just because it came with a case, and someone used equipment that you don't normally find in your average electronics section, with editing software, doesn't mean it is automatically professional.  It looks like they did a good job, but you really can't use all videos as proof in all cases - professional or not.  Sometimes it's a quirk of the individual aircraft.

If that were evidence that a Cessna really sounded like that, then it would sound like everyone had a bald spot on their left main.  You'll note that it has an after takeoff rattle as well.

In the Blu ray they used different camera positions for filming.

 

The sure use proffessional equipment.

 

Somebody who send me an PM said it was much louder in real life than the PMDG sound!

 

Only a real 737 pilot can give the awnser I suppose.

 

I know somebody who is a flight attendent on a 737 NG and is quit often in the cockpit with landings and take-offs. So I send him an mail.

The noise right at lift-off is variable. I don't think I normally hear it. Or I've just blocked it out over the years.

 

You're more likely to get a lot of shake on the take-off roll. The whole glareshield will shake up and down quite a bit. The nosewheel snubber sounds are louder and always there.

 

I don't think you're missing any realism if you don't hear that sound at lift-off.

Don't forget that pmdg used quite a few rw ng captains in the development..
