May 17, 201313 yr I love the F-15, saw it at the Houston airshow and it was such a beautiful and powerful plane. It has also showed the world how capable the USAF is, which I am proud of! So, Milviz has released an F-15E, and it looks really nice. Before purchasing it, I have a few questions. So I saw that you can shoot down other planes. Is this true? Does this mean I can shoot down anything I want, (ex. a Air Koryo Tupolev on final at Pyeongyang?) How do you navigate? Does it use TACAN? Is acceleration necessary for this plane? All feedback on the quality of the plane is appreciated! May 18, 201313 yr Hi Nathan. 1. Yes, it does. It is quite fun but also a bit addictive. It also bombs ground targets. 2. I do beleive that it does use TACAN. I have only had it a few days, so not fully familiar with it yet. 3. Not sure, check the Milviz site. Just get it. 'Nuff said. It is PMDG for military. Well, not quite, but close. I love the F-15E. ORBX- the way to go Sincerely, John McGee
May 18, 201313 yr Commercial Member 1. the weapons all work as advertised... i.e. if you can manage to bomb an airplane, you will destroy it. Shoot a missile at one and you will destroy it... 2) FSX has no tacan. We faked it up so that it appears that you're using it... 3) you must have acceleration for all the bits and bobs to work properly. May 18, 201313 yr Author FSX has no tacan. We faked it up so that it appears that you're using it... How does navigation work in the F-15E? Do you use the default GPS or is there FMC style navigation? May 18, 201313 yr Commercial Member How can I answer this... Do you know anything about the Eagle E? (there is no GPS as such... nor is there a FMC/FMS). I suggest that you read the manual that is available free off of our site... that will give you some clarity... failing that, you can buy it direct from us and you get 30 days to return it should you not like it. http://www.milviz.com/fs/item.php?id=F-15E Please contact oisin at milviz dot com for forum registration information. May 18, 201313 yr Author How can I answer this... Do you know anything about the Eagle E? (there is no GPS as such... nor is there a FMC/FMS). No, I've never used any type of military aircraft other than the CS C130 before in FSX. I suggest that you read the manual that is available free off of our site... that will give you some clarity... failing that, you can buy it direct from us and you get 30 days to return it should you not like it. Cool, sounds like I'll be pleasantly suprised. Thanks Milviz! May 18, 201313 yr Wow...think I will have to give this a close look....but I and a sucker for the classics and the sabre looks very tempting Jeff
May 18, 201313 yr (ex. a Air Koryo Tupolev on final at Pyeongyang?) How on earth do you want to shoot down an civil acft? Though N. Korea is not friendly to the western world, you do realize they never shoot any civil target, do you? Please, do take a second thought on what you say. Zicheng Cai
May 18, 201313 yr Commercial Member If I may, the NK's have, I believe,, along with many other countries, indeed shot down civilian airliners. whether on purpose or by mistake is another question but... it's happened. However, that is not the point of the F-15E's weapons systems. It's made for multiplayer. So you can go head to head with another Eagle E and see who is... better. You can actually fly with many E's and have a total free for all... That's what this is about. Please contact oisin at milviz dot com for forum registration information. Please provide proof of purchase if you want support. Also, include the username you wish to have.

I have your F-15E, but it's a steep learning curve. Zicheng Cai
May 18, 201313 yr Commercial Member If you are in MP and you get shot by another player ... and hit, then it will destroy your plane. And yes, it's a VERY steep learning curve. Real E pilots spend upwards of two years.... Please contact oisin at milviz dot com for forum registration information. Please provide proof of purchase if you want support. May 18, 201313 yr Author Just purchased your product, it's at least advanced, if not more, than the Coolsky DC-9, or the NGX. I got a lot of studying to do. It's awesome! Thanks! May 18, 201313 yr Commercial Member To answer your question regarding the navigation, it navigates via INS. You can control(edit/add/remove) steerpoints via the UFC. The Simcheck A300 is one of my favs. I like having the entire sky be a blanket of custom waypoints.
