Haswell reviews are out. As 'bad' overclocker as IvyBridge

Recommended Posts

We will just have to agree to disagree, won't we?

Fair enough, but it is a fact that there are a plethora of 3770K owners achieving 4.9-5 GHz. many of them are on this very forum.

All I know is that I don't struggle to get 30fps consistently and sharp performance.

Neither do I.

The difference in performance between my Ivy running at 4.5 GHz, and your 2600K/2700K running at 5.1 GHz, is minimal. Barely a few frames per second in FSX. And then of course, I have the option of de-lidding and achieving superior performance.

Difficult to compare of course, because I have different priorities to you.

I achieve frame rate right up to my locked frame rate. And I'm locked at 50 frames per second. It's not often frame rate drops into the 30's.

That might surprise you, but it's because I don't favour highly detailed super demanding payware scenery and add-on airports.

I run REX, GEX, UTX and that's all.

2600K/2700K Is a great CPU though, so I have no wish to deride your choices.
