July 6, 201312 yr What torque level are you seeing? When I'm on approach I'll rarely go above 15, and will sometimes get down to like 6 if needed. Gear down with/slightly before Glideslope intercept. Flap to landing flap once 3 green on gear. RPM full with the gear. Speed should be below 160kts and reducing at that stage. I find it slows down more readily than the PMDG 737NGX, and believe this is correct (turboprop nearing Disc creates lots of drag, vs Jet that doesn't really increase drag with lower thrust settings). Yep using the disc gives a huge speed brake effect and will bleed off speed rapidly and easy with the CLA just full and the PLA around 20 to go as low as 120 kts down the GS... Important is correct calibration of all values of the throttle hardware... André
July 12, 201312 yr Went down a 6.65 degree glideslope today at max landing weight, flaps 35, rpm 1020. Started approach at about 160 knots, slowed down to 120 on the glipeslope at about 6% torque. needed over 10% to keep speed at 120. Those who are speeding down the glideslope are eighter doing something horribly wrong, or have a trottlecalibration issue.
July 23, 201312 yr Commercial Member Are you using the NAV1 ILS approach? Some ILS approaches are corrupted. When you are flying down the approach, are you on autothrottle? And what plane are tou using? Ill try this landing tomorrow. Let me see if I can get the landing. There is no auto-throttle in the Dash. You must manually control the thrust. Best regards, Robin.
