How To Add Gate Numbers

Featured Replies

I would like to know how to add gate numbers to parking areas using ADEX for FSX by Scruffyduck.  Specifically, how to add those gate designators so that they appear on the jetway or building,  Can someone direct me to some resources?

Thanks

Dom

Cant be done in ADE, however you could make the object in a program like Sketchup or Gmax, which would just be a flat textured box, convert it for FSX use, and place it with programs like EZScenery or Instant Scenery, or use an already made library object.

You could do this by creating runway/taxiway sign and editing it. It can certainly be done using AFX and I would think that ADE would have the same facility.

To actually place signs on structures you will have to modify those structures with a scenery design program.  ADEX would be used to create parking spots and designate them as gates.  Otherwise, you can use ADEX to create a taxiway sign and place those signs at the gates, but ADEX cannot place signs on the terminal building or jetway.
