June 14, 201312 yr Hi to all,i´m getting this bird out of hangar again after install last patch.I´m getting very annoyed because when i´m making traffic patterns i get a continiuos horn "tiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii" when extending flaps at correct speeds. If i set flaps up again, the horn comes off. After years flying PIC737,feelthere 737,pmdg 737,ifly 737,this is very frustrating. Any lights? Keep up the good work. Ale.
June 14, 201312 yr Most of the time it is the landing config. flaps/gear. What aircraft are we speaking? Some times you have override switches for example flapless landing config. Regards Jack
June 14, 201312 yr Are You extending flaps beyond 10 with the gear up? If so that's the reason for the horn. 737s will shout at ya if u go flap 15 or above without gear down
June 14, 201312 yr Author The plane? The plane is the forum related TM 737-200,when setting Flaps 40 landing Bugs and reducing speed below first white bug (200-190kts) set Flaps 1 and this fuc**** alarm comes on If i continue reducing and set flaps 5 at 190-180 kts still sounding. If i go flaps up again the alarm comes off.  Alex
June 14, 201312 yr I think this is caused by the throttle position. When you have flaps out and the throttles are reduced to near idle (by you or by A/T), the alarm goes off. A recent discussion on Airliners.net confirms this is how the real aircraft behaves too !! If I am wrong I am sure Bob will correct me. Peter Peter Schluter
June 14, 201312 yr Author Now i find it,there was a problem with spoiler axis(prop pitch1) does not match fully retracted in the wing, this little extension don´t cause any warning on T.O,but when on app extending flaps with throttle over idle got this warn, that´s the reason. But now with spoilers fully retracted incruising a little bit the throttle all goes ok. Thanks.
June 16, 201312 yr Anytime the horn sounds you can cancel it by pressing the horn cancel button on the pedestal (just to the left of the 30 degree flap marking). If you ever rode the jumpseat you wouldn't even know there was a horn, real 737 pilots get so used to reacting so quickly to cancel it. Usually both pilots hit the button at same time, one pilot's finger on top of the other's. What's a "bucle" couldn't find it in the dictionary?
