You can use a 4th monitor with every card that supports nvidia surround

Whoever talks to you about 2D in nvidia surround mode is clearly not familiar with nvidia surround. Nvidia surround does not support a 2D view! This is due to limitations with running ultra wide resolution in triple monitor. Tell me, when u r spanned across the three screens, what's ur mouse cursor looking like? Is it a normal mouse cursor or is it just stuck on the spinning cursor (ie when windows loads u get a spinning cursor). If you are constantly getting a spinning cursor that means some sort of 2D panel is trying to open which isn't supported in the nvidia surround causing it to crash and resulting in locked 10-12 FPS no matter what view you are in. Even if u switch to a 2D panel for a fraction of a second, that it, nvidia surround goes into a "black hole" and you may as well restart your sim as nothing you can do will change it. Make sure your sim starts in VC and under no circumstances hit F10 or change to 2D panel or it's save/quit/restart time. Again - this is assuming that u have a spinning cursor when u observe low FPS

Sounds like ur having the cursor bug resulting from starting the sim in 2D cockpit. What's your default cockpit start? VC or 2D? With Nvidia surround you can't have the 2D panel open, if you do your sim will be stuck at 10-12 FPS until you quit and restart. Just a guess, sorry if this isn't your issue...

What are you talking about? The callouts can be activated from the FMC PMDG config !

Different trim settings perhaps?

Doesn't matter, joystick / yoke / pedals As long as they have axis the above mentioned troubleshooting will probably fix the issue

EZDOK is your answer. You can technically create any "2D-like" views you want. You can assign hot keys to those views for easy navigation between them too. Also looking around the cockpit is a breeze. Instead of the default SPACBAR+mouse (2-handed), with EZDOK it's hold MOUSE WHEEL + move mouse (1 handed)

im running nVidia surround - triple monitor - on a GTX680 4Gb. does the job brilliantly! the 680 is a great card! as for your second question, you can configure it as you like. the task bar will be on the middle screen by default. after that u can place all ur windows icons in the centre screen too. Plus, with nvidia cards u can use nvidia inspector to optimize the cards performance in fsx. Go for Nvidia and dont look back mate.

Guys, each company does it differently. Someone mentioned PMDG, well at least they offer the extended download service for an extra (small) fee at the time of purchase. I have products I bought over 5 years ago at simmarket.com and still have free access to them to date! So let me get this right, you are suggesting that ORBX is charging $90 for a year's license to use FTXG or are they charging $90 for the product itself?!

I'm sorry, that makes absolutely no sense. An electronic product should always have access to be downloaded. You paid for the PRODUCT, not for the downloading of the product!

Hey, thought I'd pipe in, I have a GTX680 and an i7 3770k over clocked to 4.4 I had been running with the bufferpools=0 tweak for a while and was getting pretty smooth results Recently I began trying out different bufferpool values and actually having the bufferpools increased my performance. I don't have the exact values to hand right now but if ur interested I can get them from my cfg when home. I used the values recommended by NickN's infamous guide

Are You extending flaps beyond 10 with the gear up? If so that's the reason for the horn. 737s will shout at ya if u go flap 15 or above without gear down
