  1. Thanks Kyle, so, loading default plane first - loaded PMDG 747, no livery - seems to work. Am doing test flight, see what happens. However, I'm still a bit puzzled, here's why: * 747 is the only plane that is crashing the sim (same as Nader described), all other planes, PMDG and others, are working fine. * this started with the release of 4.2 and the quick update of the 747. ** I see others have same issue, so don't feel need to submit another ticket for same thing. Have confidence that you guys will figure it out and have a fix for this. And if loading default aircraft does the trick in the meantime, I'll take that. Michel Bitton

  3. Yup, my 747 fleet is also grounded. V4.2, updated with latest PMDG update. Crash as soon as the sim loads at any airport, it goes thru the countdown for system initialization, and few seconds later shuts down and no error message. Tried 5 times, same result. 737 and 777 working fine. regards, Michel.
  4. Just got the updated installers and reinstalled both 747 and 777 into v4. OC alerting me about 75 folders that are orphaned with no FIX to reattach the textures to the airplanes. Is there a way to reuse the textures, or do I have to delete all and redo all of them from scratch? Thanks, Michel.
  5. I've been watching videos of the 747-8 and looks fantastic. Was wondering about time frame. The NGX expansion took about 3 months to be released. The 777 was close to 10 months. So what we looking at here: NGX or 777 time frame ball park? Either way, one thing is for sure: it will be amazing. Michel.
  6. Oh Good, so I am not the only one. Have same problem, points I am trying to enter: ATONE, FAMIN, HARKE, SALER, all rejected. They are on Skyvector and they appear in the nearest intersection page of the 430, but I can't enter them as waypoints in a flight plan. Do you want me to open a ticket or just see what you guys come up with as solution? Michel.

Actually wrote PSS to try and get a refund and was denied since they thought I would cheat them or something which I found insulting. I already posted several times here saying that I will never buy any PSS products ever again, but these are being deleted as fast as the free thinker in N. Korea (as someone mentioned before) and just like you, I feel I wasted $57, have nothing, and I am tempted to either sell my copy of give it as a present to someone as a Xmas gift. It's the holidays after all, right? LevelD 757 will be superior, no doubt there. beyond upset and disappointed, Michel.
  9. I have the same problem. I tried it again last night and will continue exploring this further tonight. What is happening is this: once you hit TOGA, it locks itself to max power, ignoring any FMC setting for derated power, CLB1 or CLB2 and it keeps going overspeeding in the process. this makes for very interesting takeoffs, it's like launcing the space shuttle with its rate of climb...well, almost. I tried using CLB/CON button but this one doesn't seem to do anything. I read in the manual that it supposed to be used when VNAV is not used. Well, I haven't been able to use this function as of yet. I'll watch some 777 videos and see what I can find out about this...to be honest, I am not sure if we're doing something wrong or it's a bug. any input suggestions and tips are welcome,Michel.

    T7 Patch

    I was actually thinking the same thing the other day - assuming the T7 patch is done and is unrelated to the problems the 757 is experiencing, why not release the T7 patch and continue working on the 757 separately? I know PSS wanted to release both at the same time, but at this point, under the new circumstances, why not release at least the product that does work? I am glad to see that I was not the only one going "hmmmm, what if..." Michel.
