Just a few minutes ago, Real Time / Real Weather - Never had this sensation in ANY other sim!

Jcomm, that has been my experience so far too. Heck, I like all of them...FS9/FSX, and still fly them regularly....but as you stated, the chill 'n thrills I get are now produced with XPX.  When I come into the final on runway 27 at KFNT...and when coming in low at dusk over Interstate-75, it looks exactly as it does when seen in real life. I think it has a tremendous amount to do with how HDR handles light, shadows, and traffic on the roads and interstates--from the moving vehicles themselves, to their headlights, their tailights...etc...give you the sensation that the approach is real world.  I'm glad that somebody else is also feeling the intensity and level of immersion that I have constanly experienced since dropping coin on the sim.

BTW, I am finding new reasons to shake my head....I was flying between Akron, Ohio to Toronto City Centre this morning, low and slow. I was vfr-flying at around 1,500 feet...and decided to follow a rail-way line and see if it intersected towns and such.  Well, you could have put me over with a feather...for at one crossing, where the line passed over a road...THERE WAS A SET OF CROSSING GATES!  I have never seen such detail in a sim before, never. I mean c'mom....RR gates?  I don't know if this graphic feature is included within XPX itself, or one of the packages (like OSM Canada Roads) that I have installed...but it certainly cranks up the immersion, big time!

Glad you are enjoying, post FLIGHT.

The railroad gates are stock XP10.

Edit: when seeing the MU screenshot above, I afraid I'm flying too rarely and building too much and for too long sceneries .

My sceneries (excerpt): LPMA Madeira (XPFR), LGSR Santorini, LRBV Brasov, the city of Fürth (Germany), several libraries, ...

The railroad gates are stock XP10.

I was hoping that they were....it was my first one seen since about a month of ownership. I guess that I had to be lower than I had been to date.  The working and changing traffic lights are something else, as well. :)

I'm like a kid in a candy store.....

Awesome. What scenery do you have in use?

Ralf,

I am using SimHeaven OSM Europe osm + only, Zones-Photo Spain & Portugal Orthos (ZL16, I believe), and a scenery converted from one made by a good friend of mine (Pedro Oliveira) for FS9/FSX, covering Lisbon and available at the .ORG

I just had to add some exclusin areas for traffic, as suggested by someone here at the forum, to get rid of the highways crossing Tagus river under the two bridges.

I just completed another short circuit, on the WorldLiner 777, just before leaving home for another working day. Whow - beautiful everyhthing, Weather, Lighting, Scenery, Aircraft, feel....

Thanks Carlos. I will download it today and will visit you tomorrow. Virtually, and I will have some cold ones in my flight bag...
