June 29, 201312 yr Just a quick flight with the Boeing 787-8. Without a de-rate, it's a six-minute climb from sea level to 43,000 feet. Back on the ground. Captain Kevin Air Kevin 124 heavy, wind calm, runway 4 left, cleared for take-off. Live streams of my flights here.
June 29, 201312 yr Nice shots Kevin. I love the customization of the ground vehicles and AI with your own livery. That must have been a lot of work! A.J. Domingo
July 1, 201312 yr Author Thanks, guys. Nice shots Kevin. I love the customization of the ground vehicles and AI with your own livery. That must have been a lot of work! Well, for an airline that by the end of the month will have been around for ten years, it was something that happened over time, so not like something I did in one go. Ground vehicles weren't that difficult to do, since the Project Opensky/SkySpirit heavy jets use the same vehicles, so once I got them done for the Boeing 747-400, getting them on the others was literally just copy and paste. Except for maybe the 787 that now has a fuel truck that didn't exist before. Captain Kevin Air Kevin 124 heavy, wind calm, runway 4 left, cleared for take-off. Live streams of my flights here.

July 4, 201312 yr About an average 7000 fpm climb, that is insane. You must have been very light with no payload and minimum fuel. A.J. Domingo
July 9, 201312 yr Author 2nd pic looks like the space shuttle launched behind you or something. About an average 7000 fpm climb, that is insane. You must have been very light with no payload and minimum fuel. Payload weight of 58,000 pounds and fuel weight was 15,000 pounds. With this particular FDE, this is the climb rate you can get when you're light and you don't derate. As I understood it, though, an FDE update they're working on should address this insane climb rate issue. Captain Kevin Air Kevin 124 heavy, wind calm, runway 4 left, cleared for take-off.
