Whoops, what happened?

After reading a recent thread I downloaded Very-Latest-mce.exe from the link provided and, after uninstalling, ran the exe into FS9.1, XP sp3 32 bit.

Installed correctly. Checked ini for carry-over preference settings ... correct.  Checked Modules folder to ensure fsInsider.dll had been updated ... correct  (2.5.4.1.)   Finally ran App Wizard as usual,

Started FS9 to be confronted with a dialogue box:=

ERROR - FS9

Flight simulator was unable to load some aircraft or software. You can continue using Flight Simulator but this aircraft or software will be disabled.

File: fsInsider.dll

Whoops ... this is new.

Uninstalled/reinstalled with same result.

Appreciate any guidance in being able to run my co-pilot again ... definitely not used to single pilot ops ... Clive come back!

Hello Appliance,

Have found the thread your talking about :P

But it seems it didn't update your fsinsider.dll correctly.

According to this person it shoud read v2543!!! ^_^

John

Ps just installed and no problems with fsx and fs9.1

(What i always do is uninstall the program, put out the fsinsider.dll manually and then install the new version)

Thank you for your very kind reply John.

When I downloaded and installed 2.5.4.1 was "the very latest mce" ... since updated to .3. Although not mentioned in my post I also emulated your solution by transposing the .dll into Modules folder both before and after installation. Most puzzling and I hope FS++ can provide an insight. I just don't want to waste another 500 mg bandwidth.

Sorry,

The mistake was to name the custom package intended for testing by another user (KingGhidorah) as "very-latest-mce.zip"

That package was never released.

Even 2.5.4.3 isn't released. The latest official package is 2.5.4.2

There will be another update within 10 days. It will officially add support for Majestic Q400.

Since you are running FS9 exclusively, you may want to stay with the latest version you downloaded, for a while.
