Think I've come to a decision for what PC I'm going to buy, but just want your opinion before I buy

 

I'm wanting to run the same addons I ran on my old pc (which has not bit the dust) such as NGX, UK2000, Aerosoft airports, Opus fsx, REX, Ultimate traffic 2 etc...

 

What do you guys think:

If you can spare the money, go for a better CPU cooler and a beefier PSU.

Not that this setup would be something to complain about, but your computer can never be too cool, or too future-proof.

I actually have this pc, I bought it from chilblast earlier in the year. The only thing I have different is faster memory, I opted for the 1600mhz (8gb)

I'm very pleased with it, no problems with performance at all in FSX. I run on it 737NGX, AS2012, UK2000 EGKK extreme,UTX Europe, several other Aerosoft sceneries. With a tweaked cfg file and using Ryans Nvidia indpector settings I have no problems getting 30FPS (locked) with this system.

Go with Haswell instead. Better IPC, similar temps and better performance.

Asus Z87-Plus Motherboard for the 4670K

 

 

Memory: 8GB PC3-10666 1333MHz DDR3 Memory (2 x 4GB sticks)

 

8GB of DDR3 2400 CL10 would be a much better choice.
